Steve Springer, author of Quality At Bats, Batting Average is Evil, and The Mental Side of Hitting will be coming to the Logan-Rogersville High School Auditorium on Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00 for an instructional seminar on the mental side of hitting.

The semi-final game against #1 ranked Westminster was tied 1-1 after 2 but delayed until Saturday due to weather. Westminster took the lead in the 4th and went on to win 4-1. Box Score

In the third-place game, the Wildcats trailed 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th before rallying for 8 runs to take the lead. Boonville came back in the top of the 7th but Rogersville held off the Pirates for an 8-7 victory, winning the Class 4 Third-Place title. Box Score

The Wildcats set school records for consecutive wins (21), total wins (25), and best finish (3rd). The Wildcats went undefeated in conference play, winning their 5th consecutive COC championship.

Baseball Banquet

The Baseball Banquet is set for Wednesday, June 26 in the High School commons area at 6:30.

A BBQ catered dinner and sides will be provided at no charge to players that were on the grade 9-12 spring teams. The charge for family members will be $10 per person. We ask that each family brings a dessert.

The St. Louis sports raffle drawing will be held during the banquet.

Baseball Banquet


The Baseball Banquet has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 26.

There will be a catered dinner and a celebration of the 2013 season. The winner of the St. Louis Sports Package Raffle will also be announced at the banquet. More details will be posted when they become available.

Fresh off of taking the small division title outright, the Wildcats defeated the large division champion Willard Tigers 6-4.

The Wildcats victory over Hollister on Monday night locked up outright the conference championship. This is the fifth consecutive year the Wildcats have won the COC championship.

Player fees can be reduced through the selling of business sponsorships.

75% of business sponsorship money raised will go toward player fees. The remaining 25% goes to the program.


St. Louis Sports Package Raffle (mandatory participation)

Players are required to sell a minimum of 15 tickets at $5 per to total $75. Any raffle tickets sold beyond the $75 requirement will be applied in full toward player fees.

Fundraising to offset player fees are limited to full coverage of the participation fees. Once a player has covered fees in full, all additional money goes to the program.


All funds raised must be turned in by May 5. Coach Yates is the contact for handling of the funds.

Commitment fees must be paid in order to secure a spot on the high school roster. There will be an informational parent meeting that afternoon along with players being sized for uniforms. Information regarding fees, raffle, sponsorships, hotel accommodations, and scheduling will also be discussed. It is extremely important that one parent is present to obtain that information.

Hats and Pullovers

January 29

Hats and Pullovers are now on sale. Students and Parents may contact Coach Ledl for an order form. Pullovers are $35 and Hats are $20.

Parents may have their sons number embroidered onto the pullover for no additional cost. Orders are due by Feb. 12th. Delivery date should be the 2nd or 3rd week of March. All players will be required to purchase both items as part of their uniform.

Tryouts

January 17

High School Tryouts are Feb 25 and 26 from 3:00 to 6:30 at the High School Baseball Field. This will be for all freshmen through senior baseball players. For those who make the team, full practice will begin Feb 27th at the same times. All prospective baseball players need to have a physical on file with the athletic office before they will be allowed to work out. Make sure to bring indoor and outdoor clothing and shoes due to possible weather. There will be a meeting with players during advisory two weeks before the tryout date. For any further information, please see Coach Ledl.

Summer Tryouts for the RBI Program will take place on March 9 from 9-12 and March 10 from 1-4 for 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. For players who make the team, there will be a mandatory parent and player meeting immediately following the tryout. Team, Coach, Fundraising, Uniform, and Fee information will be discussed at the meeting. One parent of each player needs to attend this meeting. A commitment fee to secure the players spot will also be due at that meeting. Commitment fee will be $150. Make sure to bring indoor and outdoor clothing and shoes due to possible weather. Coach Ledl and Coach McMillin will be visiting the Junior High to pass out additional tryout information in the middle of February. For any further information, please see Coach Ledl.
